Ooty is a beautiful town situated at the top of the mountains. It was strange to have to wear a hoodie during the evening and blankets at night due to the colder temperatures. Not something I expected to have to do given that I was in India, and especially in the South at the hottest time of the year.
What I found particularly peculiar was that in the middle of these huge, high-up mountains was a massive lake. The only mountain I had ever been up I had to ski back down, so as pathetic as it sounds, this fascinated me greatly. More so that the first time I ever discovered bubble wrap. And everyone reading this knows how much of a big deal that is!
So a few beautiful view points, a peddle boat, some perfectly kept gardens and dirt cheap food was just what I wanted from such a quaint town.
